A 12-week movement program for desk workers in pain. You will get stronger, move better, and understand why your body does what it does, so you can change it.
Your brain builds a working model of your body based on what it experiences every day. After years at a desk, that model starts to predict stiffness and pain as the default. Most programs try to fix the symptoms. This one updates the model — through real movement, real strength work, and learning to pay attention to what your body is actually telling you.
You are dealing with an acute injury or recent surgery. This is a movement coaching program, not medical treatment. If you are unsure, reach out and chat with Alex before applying.
Three phases, each building on the last. You will move, get stronger (especially the muscles desk work leaves weak), learn to breathe and focus in ways that change how your body feels, and understand enough about how pain works to stop being afraid of it.
Most desk pain comes with fear attached. The first four weeks break that pattern. You will learn to notice what your body is actually feeling (not just what you expect), begin moving with attention rather than avoidance, and start a simple breathing and mobility practice that shifts your nervous system out of its default stress state.
With body trust in place, the work gets more complex. You will build strength in the muscles that desk work leaves weak, learn movement patterns that protect and support your spine, and find the postures that work best for your body. Breathing practice deepens. You will learn to stay present in your body even under effort.
The last four weeks are about building the new habits. You learn to read your own body, choose your own practice, and maintain the changes without external guidance. Guided deep rest practices become a regular tool for recovery and sleep. The goal is not to graduate from the program — it is to not need it anymore.
At three points across 12 weeks we measure real indicators, not vague impressions. You will know it is working because you can see the numbers move.
